Botswana
Wildlife heaven would sum it up. Botswana is lush, green and has breathtaking nature. Self-drives are straight forward yet there are beautiful lodges in some of the worlds most nature reserves like Chobe, Savuti and the Okavango Delta.

Namibia
The perfect destination for first timers and adventure seekers. This country is not only extremely versatile and stunning, it is easy to travel through, has good roads, a great climate all year round and tons to do.

Zimbabwe
Victoria Falls might be one of the most well known destinations on the continent. The thundering waterfalls are an impressive sighting and totally worth the flight or drive up. Yet Zimbabwe has much more to offer.

Mozambique
Less known than it's surrounding countries but maybe therefore so worth a visit. There are a few incredible sea side destinations where wou feel like you are in paradise. People are extremely friendly. This is the place to relax!

Kenya
When you think classic safari, you think Kenya. It's probably best known for the Masai Mara National Reserve and the great migration. Adding a few days on the coast at Lamu or Watamu can really be the cherry on the travel cake.

Tanzania
A classic safari destination with the great migration across the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro crater probably as it's mostly know highlight. Yet also think of doing a (day) hike up Mount Kilimanjaro to make this trip unforgettable.

Lesotho
Even though this mountain kingdom is landlocked by South Africa, it is completely different. This is not a tourist destination but something out of the ordinary. And did you know you can ski here in winter!

South Africa
You could spend months in this country alone. It is a great destination for families of all ages. Safari with young kids, water sports and incredible beaches for teenagers, buzzing city life and exquisite food and wine for adults.
Meerkat Travel Tip: Drive from Cape Town to Cape of Good Hope over Chapmans Peak. You might be lucky and spot a whale. Take me there!
